My Christmas Holiday Recap

My Christmas Holiday Recap

This Holiday is one of the best for me, Usually, I love celebrating my Christmas indoors, watching movies, sleeping, and reflecting on my life. Last year I had so much of it that it got out of my nostrils.

I thought I loved being alone, but I knew the importance of people when I was all by myself with no one knocking at my door to disturb me with noise on that special day. It was so lonely and boring.

So this year, I made so many plans I didn't want that experience to repeat itself, along the line God decided to surprise me, my Mom and siblings decided to join me at our new house a week before Christmas.

I was so excited, finally, I would have people to gist with. On 24th December, one of my friends called and asked me to meet him at one of my favorite relaxation spots for his girlfriend's birthday, I didn't hesitate to find my way there. Lucky me, that was where my holiday fun began. Many of my friends were invited too. It was a nice time eating and drinking with them. I had to come back home late that night because I didn't want to leave them. It's been a while since I met some of them.

On Christmas, after church service, I didn't go anywhere. I was home all through, I had planned initially to visit an eatery but I lost interest immediately after I came from church. Before I got back from church, my mom already prepared a delicious meal for us, only God knows how happy I was when I saw that food.

I ate to my satisfaction and spent some time with my mom and siblings before they all went out to visit their friends. What I was scared of still occurred, I was left alone again, and I had no option but to sleep and watch movies until evening.

A friend of mine later came over and we went to the community dancing spot to watch our cultural dance, we didn't spend so much time there before we left, the dance seemed to be boring this year. From there I came back home.

On the 28th and 29th I went to a program I have been anticipating since the beginning of this year in church. I was so blessed by the guest minister. I feel well-loaded for the coming year. I wish the program started on the 25th. Nevertheless, those two days seemed to have covered it all. The program is usually held once in December, I don't know why they made it two days this year, we hope, that it will be three days next year.

Although I didn't go out to visit some of the places I had in mind, I enjoyed this holiday so much, it opened my eyes to a lot of things.

Compliment of the season. I hope you and your families are all doing well? A very big thank you to @targanft for this amazing prompt. See you all next year 🥰

Sorry I didn't see this earlier but I'm not @targanft but rather @terganftp so I didn't get a notification.

I enjoyed your part about being alone. I'm really not a people person but last year when i spend two weeks by myself in a beautiful hotel room in a beautiful city in the Philippines (Iloilo) it showed me just how important being with others.. even for a little while every day.. really was.

Glad you got to spend the holidays with loved ones.. and at church too 😉

Thanks for posting

Oops, I didn't check it out too well, I'll take next note. The most important thing is receiving your feed back😁🥰

Being with people is very important, though not all the time.

Compliment of the season sir

Agreed. I'm very much a"Enjoy people in small doses" kind of guy. Big gatherings and noisy crowds are brutal. Then again my favorite memories are all with a small group of friends.

All the best in the new year to you also.
