Do Men Remain The Same When Money Comes?

Money is a very powerful tool. Its influence in our society is so strong that people say it rules the world.

People who have money are the rulers of our beloved society. It doesn't matter whether they are in government or not; they control things, and sometimes, rules don't apply to them.

Possessing money or being rich is everyone's desire. When money comes, a lot of things would be put in place; we can finally matter, extend help to others, and have a voice that will speak not just for us but for the voiceless as well.

However, the presence of money also comes with its ups and downs. It is a common saying that “money changes men.”

As much as I do not agree completely with the saying, honestly, there is a measure of truth in that.

If not all of us, most of us have had an experience with friends who were like family when they had nothing, but as soon as they hit money, they not only detached from us but began living a kind of life you never imagined them to live.

Money is a little god; if you don't master how to subdue it, it can turn you into a slave.

I have seen people who were humble when they did not have jobs, but when God made a way for them, they became arrogant, disrespectful, and wayward.

The question is, is it the new status that has made them this way, or is that who they are, but was hidden by poverty?

Honestly, it's not easy to answer that question because there are many rich people who remain humble, kind, and good despite the fact that they are wealthy.

In my opinion, for some people, it's just who they are; they were just caged by poverty, but for some, it's money that changed them.

I am saying this because change is permanent in life; someone can have a good heart and change when they have money as a result of the influence of friends, environment, and so on.

Sometimes, it's not even friends or any external influence; it's the presence of money itself.

It has happened to me before. I had a certain amount of money in my bank account, and I felt like I was a boss. The way I spoke to people changed. I was not arrogant, but you can tell that this guy is feeling himself from the way I speak.

But I was not like that before. When I noticed it, I had to work on myself, and God, in his mercy, orchestrated situations to teach me lessons that humbled me.

Money is like a spirit; it has power too, but it depends on individuals, it depends on your heart, it depends on how much you have conquered yourself.

Forget what we are saying about money can't change us; let the money come first, and you will know that it is easier said than done

Even if you have a good heart, you might slip away if care is not taken. To control money, I feel one has to first learn how to control oneself and to learn how to control oneself; God needs to help you.

It is when that is done that you will have billions in your account and still count it as nothing because you know that it was given to you, and you will go and leave it here one day, therefore, you would tread carefully.

Money makes the world go round, having money just gives you a different kind of confidence, it is not all bad, and not all good, but it sure as well influences everything and everyone, one way or the other.
