Charity: How To Ensure That Our Donations Gets To The Needy

For instance, politicians would be given money for certain contracts, instead of doing the work properly, they can carry a few workers to the site, take some pictures as evidence, post on social media then abandon the project.
If you go to social platforms like Facebook, you would see a lot of things like this. These people know that humans are moved by what they see even if it's not true, therefore they fake things and give it to us and most times we naively give them our trust.
This thing is not just about politics I cited that example because it is very common but it happens in different areas of life.
Charity is one of the best things we can commit to as humans. Although we don't have everything but it is a privilege that we can afford some of our needs.
There are people out there who are willing to do anything to survive but circumstances and diverse situations of life wouldn't permit.
We are living in houses, though not mansions but there are people who are homeless. We ate peacefully today, even though it's not the best meal but someone out there hasn't eaten since morning.
Whenever I hear about donations to support the less privilege or to do the work of God, honestly, unless I do not have what it takes to support, I don't take such opportunities for granted.
I know a little of what it feels to be in lack, if my little penny can provide food for someone out there and put a smile on their faces, then seriously, I don't mind doing it over and again.
As good as people's intentions are towards charity, sometimes there is this temptation to ask whether our resources, our sacrifices and gifts really get to the destination it is supposed to go, especially if it is money.
We live in a funny world, people are selfish and greedy, they might come in the name of charity but they are actually there for their dear stomachs.
Things like this happen and it's the reason why certain individuals don't like participating in charity.
However, I think when we give for charity, we shouldn't be concerned about whether it reaches the destination or not. Our part as givers is to give and let God do the rest, if the receiver tampers with the resources, it is left for him and God, trust me one day, Karma will catch up with him/her.
But if we are so disturbed and are so uncomfortable reaching people through others due to lack of trust, then we can create time and reach out to the needy by ourselves and support them directly.
You can make time and go to orphanage homes, hospitals and so on, with your gifts and do it the way it best fits you. Sometimes you don't even need to go that far, that your neighbor that is in lack is someone to support too.

You can buy food or clothes and give to them according to their needs and trust me, that's charity too.

Those who have been in the trenches before, would always want to give out to other people cause' they can relate to how it feels like to eat a meal, knowing fully well that there is probably no way to get the next meal.
Donations are actually good, but then, it's good to give to the right sources.
If you have been there, you will know how it feels.
Giving to the right source is very important.
