I can still remember “Legend of the Seeker, Lord of the Rings, and Merlin.” It was from these movies that I first learned about magic.

Although I can't recall detail of the movies, I can still remember some of the magic scenes. I was impressed by the way the characters used magic to make impossible things possible.

Watching movies about magic can be very fun. To date, I still find such movies fascinating; however, what the world tells us about magic in reality is not really what we see in most magic movies.

In reality, my mindset about magic was bad while I was growing up. I believe that magicians are evil and have something to do with darkness.

I know in movies there are good witches/wizards, but if you check their acts, especially how they perform magic, you would realize that there is something off about it.

It's either one ritual is done, or the some kind of incantations, and it can be scary at times. I know movies have made them nice and welcoming, but honestly, they still scare me at times.

Well, thank God for growth; my mentality has changed. Just because someone practices magic doesn't mean the person is evil; we can't judge people for what they believe.

Back to this prompt. The first thing that came into my mind after reading the topic description was this movie, “The School for Good and Evil.”

A movie about a magical school where, after every four years, two children are selected and trained to become fairies possessing magical powers.

Considering the way our world is, if there is a school where magic is taught, a lot of people wouldn't take a second thought before applying for it.

Imagine what one can do with their magical powers, but we all know that everything in life comes with a price, and the fact that such a school would be open to all, even those with evil intentions, makes the idea a bit dangerous in my opinion.

However, if such a school exists, trust me, I would be part of it. Even if it takes a decade to graduate, I wouldn't mind.

The reason why I would love to study in that school and obtain magical powers is to bring an end to what is happening in my country and the world at large.

Each day, the issue of war, kidnappings, accidents, hunger, poverty, and all sorts of crimes are affecting people directly or indirectly.

The life that we ought to enjoy has now become something we are managing. People live in fear and discouragement. Nowhere is safe, no one is safe.

If I go to that school, I'll make sure I become very good at my craft, mastering the magic to the core.

With the acquired power, I will make sure I resolve the issues that are causing war and killings around the world.

I would provide jobs for people, not necessarily with the government; it can even be giving them some kind of gifts or skills that would keep fetching them money.

With my power, I will prevent accidents from occurring, I will use my power to fix bad roads, and also ensure that nothing at all can cause accidents again.

There are many other things I would do with my power, but these ones are at the top of my list.
