A Healthy Environment: A Personal Perspective And Preference
On a general note, whenever a healthy environment is mentioned our minds first race to a very neat surrounding, devoid of germs, waste, gutters, and so on.
However that is only a part of it, there are other things people consider apart from neatness to qualify an environment to be healthy and it is different for most people.
To some, an environment needs to be clean, very busy, full of activities, and noisy, while to others, it is different.
This is why where one person finds attractive and conducive, another person might not like it for personal reasons.
Nevertheless for me, what qualifies an environment to be called healthy is first its neatness and the peace and comfort I get in it, and as casual as it sounds, no matter how beautiful a place is if any of those things are lacking, I don't hesitate to leave.
They say ”Cleanliness is next to godliness,” apart from everyone's physical appearance, another thing that defines people is their environment. The way of life in it, and how it looks also tells how the people there are.
In my place, there are certain communities that are named based on the kind of activities that people do. For instance, there is a community we call, “Bola” (trash dump) simply because the environment was known for dumping refuse before it developed, and the inhabitants are also fond of dumping refuse improperly.
It's funny how we suffer from different diseases, and we wonder where they are coming from. Malaria today has become a disease that our systems have to adjust to adapt to due to our environments.
Most of the places we live in are littered with garbage, waste that we ought to recycle and dispose of properly, but we don't, instead, we throw them off anywhere.
Human activities are ever-increasing and it has made our environments very noisy and unconducive. Sometimes before one manages to sleep properly, one has to wait for midnight, or else he/she either adjusts to calm themselves in the midst of noise or leaves the place to somewhere else.
Insecurity is another problem, the issue of kidnapping, murder, theft, and other forms of crimes, are making people uncomfortable in their homes. One can't go out at a certain time, one can't walk freely without the consciousness of danger, and even at night one can't sleep due to fear.
This is why some people run from their homes and travel to other places for vacation. Sometimes it is not for a show-off, it is to find that quiet and calm place to simply relax and enjoy life.
All the things I mentioned earlier make an environment unhealthy and it ought not to be so. A healthy environment is supposed to be somewhere we find peace and solace.
It is supposed to be somewhere we can run to and be refreshed. It is not supposed to be a threat to our lives, and our health.
Personally, i would an healthy environment has to be a safe space. A place that would be free from noise and just where anyone could actually stay and just feel comfortable.
Hehehe, there is nothing more than this. It's not healthy enough if it's just clean, it has to be safe.

I agree with you, having a good environmsnt both security wise and hygenic wise is important
Gbam, that's the summary of it all. Security and hygiene must go hand in hand for a place to qualify healthy for me.
Thanks for checking this side
Our mental health indeed goes handy with a clean environment so our space must be a peaceful one to enjoy life itself.
Seriously, staying in an area where my Peace is constantly being tampered with can be a bit challenging for me
Thanks
