Simple

The happiest people I know have remarkably simple lives. A couple of them are devoted family people while a few others are highly religious. The differentiating factor I believe, is how they are able to break down what truly matters to them in their own eyes.

What truly matters can be a bit tricky to figure out, because there isn't a one fits all example. The primary thing of course is figuring it out based on our unique experiences and values, then summoning the courage to live it out. Living out ones life purposefully also comes with a price.

In hindsight there is a lot of work and intentionality required to keep things simple. The World is filled with a lot of stress, temptations and a lot of posssible pathways one can take that it requires a lot of caution in motion. It is for this reason people get stuck, confused or lost.

Nothing ultimately beats clarity of mind and purpose. Several of us believe we are made for 'big things' but our purpose may lie in the simplest of identities. Whatever sets our soul on fire should not simply be tossed aside like it doesn't matter.

I would think that a lot of the time such people find a lot of their meaning from within, rather than by trying to follow the popular influences pushed on us by the external world.
