Consistently Inconsistent

We've all been there — struggling with the challenge of consistency, feeling like we are constantly falling short of the goals we set for ourselves. It's a frustrating cycle for me, as I definitely want to succeed, yet somehow end up failing, even with the best of intentions. My current situation reminds me of a memorable episode from the old cartoon, The Addams Family, where Gomez Addams, the loveable patriarch, decides he wants to be a failure. Ironically, even when he tries his hardest to fail, he ends up inadvertently succeeding.

This funny twist offers for me a surprising and profound reflection on my own battles with consistency. Just like Gomez, it can often feel like one is failing at our attempts to be consistent. I set out with clear intentions and plans, but life has a way of including its own twists and turns. It’s easy to feel like we’re failing even at the task of failing unable to find that elusive balance or routine that sticks.

But perhaps the lesson here isn't about never failing, but rather about redefining what success and failure actually mean. Gomez's story reminds us that even in what seems like failure, there is often an unexpected success. Forgive me for looking for a bright spot for my own lapses. Similarly, when we struggle with consistency, it’s not always a sign that we’re doing something wrong. It might simply mean we’re in the process of discovering what truly works and what routines align with our natural flow, as well as the goals that genuinely matter.

Right now am not in a very happy place, but instead of being frustrated with myself for not being consistent, I'm trying to celebrate the small wins. I'll keep trying to make the effort, even if you I don't meet the target every time. I take solace in the fact that the journey alone signals success in itself. I know I just need to put in more effort. Hive for me has always been an easy yardstick to measure my consistency, one that I've not performed so well at.

Regardless, I'll take a page from Gomez Addams and embrace the quirks, laugh at the missteps, and recognize that even in the face of inconsistency, there’s always room for growth and self discovery. After all, consistency is a journey, not a destination, and every step, no matter how seemingly wayward, is a step forward.

That's very true, when you are in trying to push hard enough but some circumstances keep pulling your energy, i felt same way, set my hive goals but as it stance now, the year running to an end yet i'm far from getting close, however i'm still positive that i'll still end up with something tangible up there
