Living The Farm Life// Watching My Crops Germinating In A Good And Healthy Condition.

Hi guys, Helo everyone in hive community and agricultural mindset community members. This is my first time posting in this hive community. I am here to share my ideas and experiences with you guys about my farm and my crops and agriculture entirely. I hope you people will enjoy my experiences and I will certainly enjoy yours as well.
I went to farm today to take a look at my crops, what I saw was good to my eyes and it gladys my heart because my crops are growing or germinating good and healthy.

This is maize (corn), is looking very greenish and is germinating very good. Though it's been days we didn't experience rainfall in the land but the water that was under the earth or soil kept those crops on a healthy condition. Just yesterday I have applied small quality of fertilizer on them to make it grow faster and well nourished.

I'm thinking after two weeks I will weed it and add another fertilizer on it again. I wish there will be rainfall within now to two days so that the maize crop will germinate more better than this.

Here is mileat, the local Africa name for it is egusi. just started growing up few days ago. When is germinated and matured for harvesting, the seed is very good and nutritional to the body. When you use it for soup with vegetable, it taste very sweet and we all know vegetables gives strength to the body immune system and increase blood in the body.

Here is my groundnuts, is still small but is growing and looking so beautiful. Is due to lack of rainfall if not it could have been grown more than this already. God's willing if there is heavy rainfall and within few weeks or two months it will be ready for harvesting.

And I also farm cassava, farming cassava is not easy because you will have to be going to farm regularly to check your farm to make sure your cassava farm is protected against herdsmen (Fulani) cows, pigs, and even goats. You need to be going to the farm morning and evening to see if there are pigs or cows are grassing there to chase them out of your farm. Cassava farm is a lucrative business in Nigeria. I have heard some farmers that did cassava farms have bought bigger lands, build houses with the money they have gotten from the cassava farm. So I decided to farm it this year too.

Farming is very good, for starters it will not be easy because it needs your resources to buy fertilizer, the farming equipments, insecticides and so many things to have a good and standard farm system. And I don't have enough money to start a big farming system now, with the little money I have I will invest it in the small portion of farm I am doing now and see the end result at the end of the harvest.

These days, people that have money are the ones farming most in Nigeria or in my area. If you don't have money you can't venture into farming system. Farming is not easy, you need to be a hard working person to be able to farm. Farming needs your time, dedication, resources and energy. Is not something you will just start and left it halfway, and if you do you will not gain anything reasonable from the farm harvest. I have seen and heard about people who made it or become successful through farming system.

To make it in life is not all about getting government jobs, your results or qualifications but also your skills. Farming needs skills and dedication. When you are skillful about farming system with your dedication to it and by investing your resources and money to it, your farm produces and harvests will be bountifully.

I have increased the rate of my farming this year, to see if I could get better farm produces or harvests this year than those previous years I have gotten. No food for a man that is lazy and am not a lazy person. Make sure you used your time to do something reasonable and tangible for yourself. Don't depend only on government jobs or any educational jobs. Farming is very good and is a lucrative business you can do.
