A pathway to discover your gifts and talents// Attending Non-denominational young ministers conference 2025 at the mountain.

We climbed the mountain yesterday, it was a mountain experience I had over a long time and people are farming even in the mountain. We came across river on the mountain , the water is very cold and very clean. We drank from it too. We have heard most of the people that farm on the mountain side usually come to the river to drink from it.

One unique thing about the river is that it doesn't dry up. People said even in dry season or during dry season you could still see water in the river. This river have help the farmers around the mountainside and so many people that often climb the mountain for mining activities, programs and excursion.

Climbing the mountain is not easy, you need energy and water to keep you going. There are stones or rocks you need to climb and at some places you will see man-made traces road you can walk slowly with your legs. My friends and I climbed the mountain yesterday for non denominational young ministers conference.

Though it's not the first time climbing the mountain for me, I have been there for the same young ministers conference about six years ago if I could remembered. And I haven't been around or attending the program again because I was in the college this past four years. The non-denominational young ministers conference is a annual program organized by some strong group of few personalities who brought themselves together to see that the young ministers are well taught about principles, ways, attitudes and sharpen their life through music, singing at such this kind of program.

People both young and old, children often go to the young ministers conference yearly or annually.This year because I and my friends were opportune to attend the program and honestly the program was powerful and teachable. I have learned as a young minister, don't focus yourself on becoming fame or trying to become popular by all means without understanding your journey as a music minister fully . As a minister, you are to sing for God's glory, win souls through your songs ministration to Jesus Christ and become a good Christian model to those people looking up to you.

That's why as a young minister you need to know your purpose, understand the lyrics of the songs you are singing to people and to yourself as well not just feel the beauty of the beat and melody that comes out while singing. Be able to work on your character and attitude on becoming a better person in life. Live a humble and respectful lifestyle and most importantly let the Bible be your guide and roadmap to your journey as a music minister.

Being famous and becoming popular is good, is good for people to know you all over your state, in the country and even outside your country as a sign of growth and commitment to your calling or ministry. But it shouldn't be your first priority as a young minister that's still growing up and passionate about music. Wining souls, sharpen people's lives with your songs should be your first priority in this ministry. I have learned a lot of things and have discovered new things also while I was in the mountain. It was indeed a powerful program and an experience I will never forget in my life.

While we were in the mountain I met Minister Godwin, a song writer in our state and locality and a preacher of God's words specifically teaching children in the Sunday school classes. He sings very well and played acoustic guitar. I asked him to show me some chords in acoustic guitar and he did, I was so happy meeting him in the mountain during this program. I have been playing acoustic guitar for just two years, I don't know all the keys and chords in the guitar. But I was excited with the new chords he shown me I could be able to play it well.

This is an another experience for me that makes me discovered my talent and skills the more, and made me understand more why being a music minister is not for showcasing yourself to people or trying to become a celebrity but show Jesus to people through your songs ministrations and lifestyle .

Indeed, the program ended well and peaceful and we came back home to our respective homes.
I hoped to attend this program another year again.
