When Time Stands Still: A Holozing Encounter

Hey everyone, friends! How are you all doing?
Aquí de nuevo su amigo Emja con un nuevo dibujo para esta semana de Holozing. En esta ocasión, he dibujado a uno de los personajes femeninos en una situación que a más de uno le habrá pasado, mínimo una vez: esa en la que vas por la calle y te encuentras con una persona conocida o que te gusta, y cruzan miradas. Parece como si pudieras verla muy de cerca a pesar de la distancia, y el tiempo se detiene. En base a eso, hice este dibujo.
Your friend Emja here again with a new drawing for Holozing this week! This time, I've drawn one of the female characters in a situation that more than one of you has probably experienced at least once: that moment when you're walking down the street and you run into someone you know or like, and your eyes meet. It feels like you can see them really close despite the distance, and time just stops. Based on that feeling, I created this drawing.

Bueno, lo primero que hice fue buscar fotos de gente en la calle. Después de una búsqueda, pude conseguir unas que me gustaron para luego empezar en Clip Studio a trazar y usar la herramienta Lazo para mejorar el lineart. Lo cual fue entretenido y rápido. Mientras lo pensaba, iba pintando las capas de color que, como saben, yo las hago por separado para que sea mucho más fácil.
Well, the first thing I did was look for photos of people on the street. After searching, I found some that I liked, and then I started tracing in Clip Studio and using the Lasso tool to improve the lineart. That part was fun and quick! While I was thinking about the background, I was also painting the color layers, which, as you know, I do separately to make it much easier.

Ya después vino el fondo, que lo hice con manchas de color sin lineart para ahorrar tiempo y solo facilitar el hecho del desenfoque gaussiano que le iba a aplicar. En lo cual, sinceramente, el fondo me gustó, y la expresión de la chica transmite tanto belleza como el hecho de buscar a alguien que todavía no ve, mientras le dicen que se vaya.
After that came the background, which I did with color blobs without lineart to save time and simply facilitate the Gaussian blur effect I was going to apply. Honestly, I really liked the background, and the girl's expression conveys both beauty and the feeling of searching for someone she still can't see, even as she's being told to move on.
