Social media for me is like one tiny window we all have to catch a glimpse of the world outside, in your different corner from different views, i have the same perspective for the internet in general and here's my take the internet is like a replica of the physical world, literally everything you can find physically is found in the internet;The Good, The Bad & The ugly all these content are found in there depending on whichever one you choose to tilt towards.

Social media refers to online platforms and apps that allow users to create and share content, ideas, connect and interact with others and build communities
Social media is a fun place to interact, chat, share perspectives, values, talks, insight, etc have fun and interact with just anyone out there all around the world, these social media helps us in so many ways than i can count, making life easy and beautiful to live.
However for these weeks #weekend-engagement talks on What's your take on social media, Good or bad air your thoughts on both....
THE GOOD
Social media has become an integral part of our lives from connecting with friends and family to promoting businessss, social media platforms like facebook, instagram, twitter, telegram and linkedin offer immense value in the context of information sharing, content creation, business promotion and branding among other numerous benefit
Social media as these magic effect on all of us, you see i can really imagine the age of our fore fathers using the post offices, mail boxes to send and recieve messages that could sometimes take weeks or months, someone birthed this idea using some protocol on the web to create some sort of an end-to'end connection were communication barrier can be bridge, were people can connect, interact and relate with each other despite whatever location, country or region as far as there is a service provider and there is an internet connection.
Its called social media because apart from the fact that its connect people from all ends of life, its provide a platform were information is accessed easily people easily send and recieve info, latest update that might have taken weeks or months to recieve can be gotten in split of seconds, news and latest happenings making rounds around the globe can be digest on social media, information on the go, families, friends, loved ones can easiky without stress get across each other without having to travel long distance to visit or anything, social media in this current age and dispensation has made living so easy and fun, hence i believe why its called the jet age, course everything happens so fast and stress free,
THE BAD
Social media has a lot of darkside basically in all ramifications, cause its like the world wide web were literally everything happens so what ever it is can find it way into the space, social media recreated life differently from what was usually perceived to be, from faking everything to unrealistic content, to spreading misleading information, spreading falsehood , scamming and a great tool for propaganda in some cases.
Gone are the days when families can have and share quality time together with one another talks, laugh, play games, create amazing memories together, couples now can stay in the same space glued to their phones, rarely have meaningful and quality conversation, its either work or at home staring at the phone screen.
Kids now at a very tender age have access to all forms of social media platforms, there by neglecting the place of building realtime value, grooming their gifts or talents, studying, paying more attention to school activities, learning craft works or some skills that wil become handy and relevant in tomorrows coming, one time.i saw in a reel Ronaldo says he does nit allow his first son access to the socials, he does not even have a phone yet, cause he wants him to stay focused, consistent, determined and pursue his dreams amd goals with all passion rather than live a life of a divided attention were distraction can prevail.
&...THE UGLY
I have said quite a lot in here about the pros and cons of social media, and i'm going to wrap things up by highlighting this few uglyside of the social platform.

Promotes social Isolation
Causes Depression and Anxiety
Promotes Obsessive self Presentation
Helps spread Scams and Frauds.
