Tarde de cumpleaños [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal todos? ¿Cómo están? Por acá, gracias a Dios, todo muy bien, trabajandito, gracias a Dios, y disfrutando de todas las cositas positivas de este año que ya falta muchísimo menos para que acabe. La verdad es que siempre agradeciendo por todo, ya que incluso hasta lo malo nos enseña muchísimo.

Hoy fue un día bastante tranquilo de trabajo, aunque un poco fuera de lo común para lo que estamos acostumbradas a hacer. La cuestión es que, como todo lunes que odio, amaneció con muchísimo trabajo retrasado y, entre una cosa y otra, la mañana se pasó super. La verdad es que cuando uno está ocupado, eso pasa; las horas se pasan y uno ni cuenta se da. La verdad es que es así; a veces solo por eso es bueno, aunque obviamente genere estrés tener tanto trabajo.

The truth is that we are always grateful for everything, because even the bad things teach us a lot.

Today was a fairly quiet day at work, although a little out of the ordinary for what we are used to doing. The thing is, like every Monday I hate, it started with a lot of backlogged work, and between one thing and another, the morning flew by. The truth is that when you're busy, that's what happens; the hours go by and you don't even notice. That's how it is; sometimes that's the only good thing about it, although obviously having so much work is stressful.

El día de ayer estaba de cumpleaños la otra asistente, nuestra compañera Day, pero ella trabaja en una unidad de negocio distinta a la nuestra y la verdad es que jamás pensé que los muchachos se fueran a entusiasmar para ir. Yo dije: “Nada, le irán a cantar cumple por allá”, pero los muchachos se animaron y nos fuimos.

Como siempre, es un problema cuando se trata de que si la vela me canse de buscar, y pueden creer que en mi escritorio había y esta vez no había ninguna, lo cual me causó inquietud, y le dije a mis compañeros: “Pasemos comprando”. Y lo que me dio mucha risa es que me trajeron una vela sin glamour, jajajajjaa, y yo dije, ¿a quién van a velar?, pero bueno, resulta que era lo que había.

Yesterday was the other assistant's birthday, our colleague Day, but she works in a different business unit to ours and, to be honest, I never thought the lads would be keen to go. I said, "No way, they'll go and sing happy birthday over there," but the lads got excited and we went.

As always, it's a problem when it comes to finding a candle, and believe me, there was one on my desk, but this time there wasn't, which made me uneasy, so I said to my colleagues, "Let's go and buy one." And what made me laugh a lot is that they brought me a candle without any glamour, hahahaha, and I said, "Who are you going to hold a wake for?", but well, it turns out that was all there was.

Al llegar, me sorprendió que los jefes mayores ya estaban allá y, bueno, uno cuando se junta, ¿qué les puedo decir?, echamos muchísima broma y, además de eso, había dos tortas, así que comimos de ambas y cero decoración porque a ella no le gusta nada de esas cosas, así que aja, fue muy grato el rato y diferente; nos contamos hasta chistes de cada unidad, fue una locura, pero me encantó este día. ¡Saludos!

When I arrived, I was surprised to see that the senior managers were already there, and, well, when you get together, what can I say? We joked around a lot, and on top of that, there were two cakes, so we ate both of them, and there were no decorations because she doesn't like that sort of thing at all, so yeah, it was a very pleasant and different time; we even told jokes from each unit, it was crazy, but I loved this day.
