Haciendo un top de niña fácil [Esp/Eng]

Holiiiisssss, gente linda y divertida de esta comunidad productiva, ¿cómo se encuentran el día de hoy? Feliz fin de semana para descansar. Por aquí todo muy bien, aunque volviéndome loca, pero agradeciéndole a Dios siempre por sus maravillosas oportunidades que me brinda.

En estos días estuve en apuros porque, como ya saben, estamos en carnaval, entonces mi sobrina, como ve que ahora le tengo amor a la costura, estaba: “Tía, yo necesito que me hagas un disfraz porque a mí me gusta disfrazarme y, bueno, yo la verdad no sabía qué hacer porque no soy experta, pero me divierto en el camino, así que tenía algo en mente y para ello necesitaba un top amarillo, así que corrí a su armario a ver qué conseguía de su talla que me gustara.

These days I've been in a bit of a bind because, as you know, it's carnival season, so my niece, seeing that I've taken up sewing, was like, "Auntie, I need you to make me a costume because I like to dress up and, well, I really didn't know what to do because I'm not an expert, but I enjoy the process, so I had something in mind and for that I needed a yellow top, so I ran to her wardrobe to see what I could find in her size that I liked.

Me gustó mucho ese traje de baño asimétrico que ella tenía, así que desde que lo vi dije: “Es este”. El problema es que yo nunca había cosido algo guiándome de otra prenda, por lo que decidí colocarla encima y hacerla 1 cm más grande de lo que era el tamaño normal para cerrar las costuras y que no le quedara apretado. Para esto, corté dos iguales para la parte de adelante y una para atrás.

I really liked that asymmetrical swimsuit she had, so as soon as I saw it, I said, "This is the one." The problem was that I had never sewn anything based on another garment, so I decided to put it on top and make it 1 cm larger than the normal size to close the seams and make sure it wasn't too tight. To do this, I cut two identical pieces for the front and one for the back.

Unir creo que fue la parte más fácil, ya que la parte que era una sola pieza, es decir, la de atrás, la introduje en la parte de las dos piezas, es decir, la trasera, mientras que la delantera la introduje hacia dentro para que no quedaran los cortes por fuera.

Joining them together was the easiest part, I think, since the part that was a single piece, i.e. the back, I inserted into the two-piece part, i.e. the rear, while I inserted the front part inwards so that the cuts were not visible on the outside.

Y así me quedo; para concretar, necesité unas alitas con su cintillo que le compré a una amiga, sus medias de malla (que luego se quiso colocar otras), un tutú blanco y muchas perlitas decorativas.

And that's how I ended up; to be specific, I needed some wings with a headband that I bought from a friend, her fishnet tights (which she later wanted to change for others), a white tutu and lots of decorative beads.

And this is how pretty my little butterfly niece looked. I really love dressing her in this colour because I think it suits her skin tone very well. Cheers!
