Saben que hace unos días fui al castillo por unas telas y me llamaron la atención unos patrones de perrito y también bóxer como interiores de caballero; que el paquete me encantó para inventar porque qué casualidad que mi papá usa interiores y mi novio bóxer, así que bueno, esos fueron los patrones ideales que llegué a conseguir.

You know, a few days ago I went to the castle to get some fabric, and I was struck by some dog patterns and boxer shorts patterns for men's underwear. I loved the package because it was perfect for my creative projects, since my dad wears underwear and my boyfriend wears boxer shorts, so those were the ideal patterns for me.

Al principio sentí miedo y, bueno, es normal, no soy la más experta en esto, apenas ando aprendiendo con cositas pequeñas para Jade, como ya posiblemente han visto por allí; la cuestión es que, bueno, yo quise aceptar ese reto de hacerlo.

Cuando fui a armarlo, para ser honesta, no sabía ni por dónde empezar. Por la gracia de Dios, normalmente esos patrones traen sus instrucciones y te explican detalladamente cómo va cada pieza. Yo estoy acostumbrada a doblar la tela por el lado que estira y cortar, y ya me quedan unidas totalmente iguales, pero este molde tenía que cortarlo sí o sí por la forma que tenía, que tenía, por decir, una pierna y una pierna, o sea, parte de adelante y parte de atrás, así que bueno, tocó, pero con solo marcar una, coloqué la otra tela abajo para ya tener las dos de una vez y que me queden iguales, pero separadas.

When I went to put it together, to be honest, I didn't even know where to start. Thankfully, these patterns usually come with instructions and explain in detail how each piece goes together. I'm used to folding the fabric on the stretchy side and cutting, and then they come out completely identical, but this pattern had to be cut a certain way because of its shape, which had, let's say, a leg and a leg, or rather, a front and a back. so, well, I had to do it, but by marking only one, I placed the other piece of fabric underneath so that I had both at once and they were the same, but separate.

Una vez que los uní, la parte delantera, como no tenía para hacer un forro, le coloqué doble tela y cosí, asegurándome de cerrar bien donde nos indica nuestro molde, es decir, el medio, y fui uniendo poco a poco con la parte que ya estaba cosida y, por último, terminé de fijar las piernas en la parte de abajo.

Then I started making the bottom edge and, with the help of pins, I secured it so that it wouldn't move when I put it through the machine, and so I gradually worked my way through it. Next, once my little hem was ready, I found it easier to join the back, always using pins and double stitching, as my machine only sews straight because it is small; you must take into account that you should only sew on the inside of the boxer shorts.

Once I joined them, as I didn't have enough fabric to make a lining for the front, I placed double fabric and sewed it, making sure to close it well where our pattern indicates, that is, in the middle, and I gradually joined it to the part that was already sewn and, finally, I finished attaching the legs at the bottom.

El elastico bueno ese fue mi reto debido a que no sabía como se pegaba, y viendo videos me daban muchas opciones pero luego descubri que la más practica era alando el elastico y no la tela para que este pudiera estirar y no romper el hilo, la medida de mi eleastico tambien las tenía las instrucciones, y listo, ya estaba todo culminado y la verdad para ser el primero me gusto, sus detallitos pero pensé que podía ser peor jajajajaja ¡saludos!

The elastic band was my challenge because I didn't know how to attach it, and watching videos gave me many options, but then I discovered that the most practical way was to stretch the elastic band and not the fabric so that it could stretch and not break the thread. The instructions also included the measurements for my elastic band, and that was it. Everything was finished, and honestly, for my first attempt, I liked it, with all its little details, but I thought it could have been worse, ha ha ha ha. Cheers!
