Hola, hola mis queridos amigos de esta linda comunidad de hive, el día de hoy quise pasar por aquí a compartirles mi colaboración en mi trabajo, la verdad fue un trabajo totalmente distinto al que hago siempre y el objetivo principal era prestar servicio en las horas del restaurant para tener una idea de como se manejaba toda la logística, tener empatía y conocimiento con el departamento de alimentos y bebidas.

Hello, hello my dear friends of this beautiful community of hive, today I wanted to stop by to share with you my collaboration in my work, the truth was a totally different job than I always do and the main objective was to provide service in the restaurant hours to get an idea of how to handle all the logistics and to have empathy and knowledge with the food and beverage department.

Nos reunimos aproximadamente a las 3 de la tarde para ir vistiendo las mesas y plasmando las ideas que teníamos de cada mesa de postre, ya que fue tridimensional. Anteriormente a esto, nos habíamos reunido todos para planificar lo que haríamos ese día.

We met at approximately 3 o'clock in the afternoon to dress up the tables and to put together the ideas we had for each dessert table, as it was three-dimensional. Prior to this, we had all met to plan what we were going to do that day.

Nos corresponde la noche venezolana y yo feliz, todas las noches hay una temática diferente tanto en el restaurante como en el teatro. Cada grupo se debe vestir al son del tema que le corresponda en mi caso me pueden ver como toda una llanera que lo que me faltó fue bailar joropo.

Every night there is a different theme in the restaurant as well as in the theatre. Each group has to dress according to the theme that corresponds to them, in my case I can be seen as a llanera, and what I lacked was dancing joropo.

También se nos ocurrió la idea de que la mesa de los postres fuera justo al frente de la piscina, esto le daría un toque distinto al que ya le habían dado nuestros otros compañeros, resaltando en ella dulces como el piñonate y de lechosa.

We also came up with the idea of having the dessert table right in front of the pool, this would give it a different touch to the one our other colleagues had already given it, highlighting sweets such as piñonate and lechosa.

Me colocaron de anfitriona a recibir a los huéspedes y créanme que nadie estaba más decepcionada de estar allí que yo, toda la noche recibiendo gente y sin yo poder comer nada y lo peor es que yo podía ver cómo mis compañeros en la minuta comían y yo no. Para aquellos que no lo saben, el baile de la borriquita es una manifestación cultural venezolana. Esta tradición se remonta a la época colonial, es parte del carnaval y otras festividades y se caracteriza por su alegría, colorido y la participación de la comunidad.

I was placed as hostess to receive the guests and believe me, no one was more disappointed to be there than me, all night receiving people and without being able to eat anything and the worst thing is that I could see how my companions in the minuta ate and I did not. For those who don't know, the Borriquita dance is a Venezuelan cultural manifestation. This tradition dates back to colonial times, is part of the carnival and other festivities and is characterised by its joy, colour and the participation of the community.

Allí pueden observar cómo mis compañeros disfrutaban de la parrilla y las cachapas, y yo, solo viéndolos queriendo estar allá con ellos, pero no, me tocó de portera Jajajjaja.

There you can see how my companions were enjoying the barbecue and the cachapas, and me, just watching them, wanting to be there with them, but no, I had to play the role of the porter.

Pero la verdad no todo es malo, al final del día nos tocó a cada uno su buen banquete de lo que quisiéramos y nos sentamos a dialogar sobre las oportunidades de mejora que le podíamos aportar a Alimentos y Bebidas así como también que aprendimos de cada uno de ellos esa noche, fue un rato la verdad bastante agradable, pero como ustedes ya saben yo no pierdo tiempo de capturar unas fóticos para ustedes.

But the truth is not all bad, at the end of the day we each had a nice feast of whatever we wanted and we sat down to talk about the opportunities for improvement that we could bring to Food and Beverage as well as what we learned from each other that night, it was a really nice time, but as you know I don't waste time to capture a few photics for you.

Fue sin duda alguna una experiencia muy bella, además de enriquecedora porque aprendí cositas que no sabía de un buen servicio. También se notó muchísimo el trabajo en equipo que logramos todos unificarnos para lograr ese objetivo en común de que todos lo hiciéramos bien y que el buffet saliera todo de la maravilla. Y, pues, el objetivo fue logrado. Considero que sin duda alguna esta es una manera de aprendizaje y un nuevo reto para mí, que así como mis compañeros asumimos con mucha responsabilidad, nos vemos, querida comunidad, hasta otro post, besitos.

It was undoubtedly a very beautiful experience, as well as enriching because I learned little things I didn't know about good service. It was also very noticeable the teamwork that we all managed to unify in order to achieve the common goal that we all did well and that the buffet turned out wonderfully. And, well, the objective was achieved. I consider that without a doubt this is a way of learning and a new challenge for me, which I and my colleagues take on with a lot of responsibility, see you, dear community, until another post, kisses.
