Chicken Teepee Made Of Bamboo Grass: Our Small Newly Started Business After 2 Years Of Quitting
Good day hivers of this lovable community. Today I'm sharing something which is a continuation blog of my wife where we cut bamboos in the neighborhood hill. She said someone is excited to see what we are making. Special mention to @nathen007 here's the product brother. Actually I started this business year 2020 and I stopped for a year because of my application at work and I failed so I went home and started the business again. When there's another opportunity I left my business and applied in the job again and this time I got hired and after five months of application, seven months in training and almost two years in the service, I tried to came up again with this business. Profit is good though it's a little harder but no one can stop you if it's your passion!
This is in the front of our house where my wife help me gather and bring this bamboos. I didn't ask for help but still she helped me and I feel pity because everything is heavy but you knew she's a big guy and she always tries to help even if she's not good at it. It made life and work easier and after we gather it she complains a headache hahaha and that's why I don't like her to help me carry those things because it can make her ill.
These are the tools I used to form the chicken teepee.
This is a drilling machine. This will help me connect the bamboo strips without making a break.
Also I have to use the steel meter. This will help me ensure all are in equal and exact measurements.
Then the hammer. This will help me push the nails to fit in the grilled whole and lock the nails onto the bamboo.
Locallu we called it "sundang" This helps me get the bamboo and cleaning it removing the unnecessary cuts and to make edges shine to avoid cuts.
Then the nails. It comes from two sizes. Sizes vary for the body and for the feet of the product.
Then the metal wire. This will ensure that the connecting bamboo slides is intact and properly secured making it to stand firm in different angles.
Then the following pictures as follows will be how I made the product step by step.
It took me one week to get the bamboo from the hills. Then it took me four days to make 18 bamboo teepee. And then delivered it to the person ordering.
And this is the finish products.
Well the owners of these chicken teepee comes from different Barangay and as I can see it has a good set up in the place. Some of the pictures finish products are coming from my buyer where I asked for feedbacks and they said everything is perfect. It's a tiring one but if it's your passion it won't make you difficult to make.
That's all for today hivers, see you in my next blog. Mabuhay!

This is such an inspiring comeback story! The dedication you and your wife show—both in gathering materials and building everything by hand—is truly admirable. The finished chicken teepees look so sturdy and well-crafted. I love that even after setbacks, you returned to your passion and turned it into something meaningful.
Thanks for the mention. Id never have guessed!
They are brilliant and im sure you sell many, knowing how popular cockfighting is there, as it is here in Thailand too, although not so mainstream.
Many years ago when I travelled a lot over there, I couldn't believe that cock fighting was shown on prime time TV! Once, I helped out a charity who were distributing vitamin supplements to elderly people in villages in Mindanao. The elderly people were not eating them, they'd sell them to cock breeders who'd feed them to their cocks to make them stronger! Happy days.
Hope you and your family are well and all have a wonderful weekend.
So creative! Keep it up. I remember my Papa doing the same thing for his chickens before. Now he already stopped.
