Hello, girls!

How are you feeling today? Today I'm returning to our home to talk about something I saw in an episode of CSI: Las Vegas. In this episode, a woman fooled herself by telling herself she was still a young girl; until, in the end, she acknowledged that she always knew she wasn't and accepted herself just the way she was.

In my opinion, she never fooled herself: she was trying to fool herself. And I'm not just talking about age, girls, I'm talking about trying to fool ourselves in general.

This is completely pointless, since we'll never really fool ourselves. We may fool the world, but not ourselves. And, in the end, as they say, lies have short legs and the truth always, always, comes out. Sooner or later, the truth always comes out.

Telling a lie is like throwing a snowball. It rolls and rolls, grows and grows. The longer the lie lasts, the harder it becomes to maintain.

And that's talking about lies to others. The lies we tell ourselves, most of the time, are more damaging than the ones other people tell us.

Don't fool yourselves. Others will take care of that, rest assured (someone always appears). We can't move forward until we stop lying. To move forward strongly toward empowerment, our path must be sure and firm.

Whenever we lie to ourselves, it's because there's a problem we fear, whether it's the solution or the consequences. Lying to ourselves is the best way to postpone the solution to the problem; it's not the solution. The problem is knocking at the door, and we're afraid to open it. However, either you open it or someone else will do it for you. The difference is that if you do it, you'll be prepared. If someone else does it... imagine that.

Don't be like the CSI lady; accept yourself and never fear. You can handle anything that comes your way.

Don't lie to yourselves, don't be afraid, and believe in yourselves. That's the key.

Hola, chicas!

¿Cómo se encuentran hoy? Hoy regreso a esta nuestra casa para conversarles de un tema que vi en un capítulo de la serie CSI Las Vegas. En este capítulo, aparecía una mujer que se engañaba a sí misma diciéndose que aún era una jovencita; hasta que, al final reconoció que siempre supo que ya no lo era y se aceptó tal y como era.

A mi entender, ella nunca se engañó: ella trataba de engañarse. Y no hablo solo de la edad, chicas, hablo de tratar de engañarse en general.

Esto es algo sin sentido alguno, ya que nunca vamos a engañarnos en realidad. Puede que engañemos al mundo, pero no a nosotros. Y, al final, tal como se dice, la mentira tiene patas cortas y la verdad siempre, pero siempre, sale a la luz. Tarde o temprano, siempre se sabe la verdad.

Decir una mentira es como lanzar una bola de nieve. Ella rueda y rueda, crece y crece. Mientras más tiempo dura la mentira, más difícil se hace mantenerla.

Y eso es hablando de mentiras a terceros. La mentira que nos hacemos a nosotras mismas, la mayor cantidad de las veces, resulta más dañinas que las que nos hacen otras personas.

No se engañen ustedes mismas. Ya de eso se encargarán otros, estén seguras (siempre aparece alguien). No podemos avanzar hasta que dejemos las mentiras. Para poder avanzar con fuerza hacia el empoderamiento, nuestro camino debe ser certero y firme.

Siempre que nos engañamos a nosotras, es porque existe algún problema que tememos, ya sea la solución o las consecuencias. Mentirnos es la mejor forma de posponer la solución al problema, no es la solución. El problema está tocando la puerta y tememos abrirle. Sin embargo, o la abres tú o alguien lo hará por ti. La diferencia reside en que, si lo haces tú, estarás preparada. Si lo hace otra persona... imagínense.

No sean como la señora del CSI, acéptense y no teman nunca. Ustedes pueden con todo lo que se les ponga adelante.

No se mientan, no teman y crean en ustedes. Ahí está la clave.
