Here in Cuba we do almost everything around a good cup of coffee. And by that I mean:
A visitor comes, we offer him coffee.
We arrive from a trip: we prepare coffee.
We return from work: we prepare coffee.
Someone needs to talk to us: let's make coffee or go to a cafe.
Breakfast is not complete without a good cup of coffee.

And so I could give hundreds of other examples. For example, these photos that I share with you are of a literary cafe in a bookstore. They invited me to play during a cultural space at the bookstore and, of course, they offered me coffee.

Here in Cuba, coffee is part of our culture, our traditions. Even the mambises, during the war of independence, prepared coffee on the hills.
Today, at all cultural, political, diplomatic events, etc., they prepare good coffee, as a sign of hospitality, of brotherhood.
It is around the coffee where we talk more freely, as if we were at home.

Coffee and art are closely related. Especially in my country. Although, of course, it is literature that is closest to coffee. However, I don't think it would be wrong to say that in the end, coffee is an excuse to go have a fun time and enjoy good art, while enjoying a good cup of coffee.

I like coffee no matter what. My favorite breakfast consists of toast with butter and a cup of coffee with milk. So you can already get an idea of ​​how much I like coffee.
It's something I can't miss in the house. If I see that the package is running out, I immediately go out to look for more.
I have the privilege that Abel likes to pamper me and brings him to bed with me every morning. Except for the days when he's not there and that's when I miss him the most 😅. It has gotten me bad in that regard.
Luckily, there are few days when I miss it and many more where it becomes my ideal coffee companion at all times.

Aquí en Cuba casi todo lo hacemos alrededor de una buena taza de café. Y por eso me refiero a:
Viene una visita, le brindamos café.
Llegamos de viaje: preparamos café.
Regresamos de trabajar: preparamos café.
Alguien necesita hablar con nosotros: preparamos café o nos vamos a una cafetería.
El desayuno no está completo, sin una buena taza de café.

Y así podría poner cientos de otros ejemplos. Por ejemplo, estas fotos que les comparto son de un café literario que hay en una librería. Me invitaron a tocar durante un espacio cultural en la librería y, por supuesto, me ofrecieron café.

Aquí en Cuba el café es parte de nuestra cultura, de nuestras tradiciones. Hasta los mambises, durante la guerra de independencia, preparaban café en las lomas.
Hoy, en todos los eventos culturales, políticos, diplomáticos, etc, preparan un buen café, como muestra de hospitalidad, de hermandad.
Es alrededor del café donde conversamos con mayor soltura, como si estuviéramos en nuestra casa.

El café y el arte están estrechamente relacionados. Sobre todo en mi país. Aunque, claro, es la literatura la que mayor cercanía tiene con el café. No obstante, no creo desacertado decir que al final, el café es una excusa para ir a pasar un rato entretenido y disfrutar de arte del bueno, mientras degustamos una buena taza de café.

A mí, el café, me gusta como sea. Mi desayuno preferido consiste en tostadas con mantequilla y una taza de café con leche. Así que ya pueden hacerse una idea de cuánto me gusta el café.
Es algo que no me puede faltar en la casa. Si veo que se está terminando el paquete, al momento salgo a buscar más.
Tengo el privilegio que a Abel le gusta consentirme y me lo lleva a la cama todas las mañanas. Excepto los días en que no está y es cuando más lo extraño 😅. Me ha mal acostumbrado en ese aspecto.
Por suerte, son pocos los días en que lo extraño y muchos más donde se convierte en mi compañero ideal para tomar café en todo momento.
