A coffee against violence against women / Un café contra la violencia hacia la mujer (eng-esp)

Hello coffee friends around the world.
On several occasions, I've talked about how coffee pairs well with many things:
like video games, music, literature, etc. But this time, I'm here to tell you how I learned about and experienced the excellent combination that arises between coffee and the fight against violence against women.

I happened to be at Orlando's coffee shop to enjoy a good cup of coffee with my husband. There, we happened to be attending a workshop on violence against women, held by the Nicolás Guillén Foundation in Las Tunas.

There, a group of young men from the community were invited to participate in lectures given by a group of specialists on the subject.
Of course, I also joined in, and I even shared my personal experiences and knowledge; as a woman, I have witnessed situations of violence and struggled to overcome them.

I was pleased to attend several of the talks and the participation of the girls, as well as several boys who expressed their solidarity with this campaign and came to learn more at the workshop.
Each participant was given a T-shirt like these, but with different messages.
Since I arrived last and wasn't there at the start, I was given a white one, which I will wear tomorrow in the second session.
After the talks, everyone went out for a snack and a delicious cup of coffee, while discussing everything they had learned in class.

Without a doubt, all the theory consumed during the lectures could only be fully absorbed when they conversed and shared time at the table, around steaming cups of coffee.

I witnessed everything that happened.

Well, me and the four cortaditos I ordered while chatting with the young people.
Now there's no doubt: coffee is good for everything, it goes with everything: even social activism.

Hola amigos del café alrededor del mundo.
En varias ocasiones he hablado sobre cómo el café combina bien con muchas cosas:
Como los videojuegos, la música, la literatura, etc. Pero en esta ocasión vengo a relatarles cómo conocí y experimenté la excelente combinación que surge entre el café y la lucha contra la violencia hacia la mujer.

Resulta que fui hacia la cafetería de Orlando a disfrutar de un buen café junto a mi esposo. Allí coincidimos con un taller sobre la violencia hacia la mujer, que realizaba por la Fundación Nicolás Guillén de Las Tunas.

Allá citaron a un grupo de muchachos, jóvenes de la comunidad, para que participaron en las conferencias impartidas por un grupo de especialistas en la temática.
Por supuesto que yo también me sumé, e incluso, participé con experiencias personales y mis conocimientos; ya que, como mujer, he sido testigo de situaciones de violencia y de superación.

Me agradó presenciar varias de las charlas impartidas y la participación de las muchachas, pero también, de varios varones que se solidarizaron con esta campaña y fueron a informarse en el taller.
A cada uno de los participantes se le entregó una camiseta como estas, pero con mensajes distintos.
Como llegué de última y no estuve al inicio, me tocó una blaca, que usaré mañana en la segunda sesión.
Al finalizar las charlas, todos salieron a merendar y a tomarse un excelente café, mientras conversaban sobre todo lo escuchado en el aula.

Sin duda alguna, toda la teoría consumida durante las conferencias, solo pudieron llegar a digerirse bien, cuando conversaron y compartieron en la mesa, alrededor de las tazas humeantes de café.

Yo fui testigo de todo lo sucedido.

Bueno, yo y los cuatro cortaditos que pedí mientras conversábamos con los jóvenes.
Ahora sí no hay duda alguna: el café es bueno para todo, combina con todo: hasta para el activismo social.
