The reluctance to challenge this new proposal is perplexing, especially when the consequences of accepting it appear so severe.
It seems puzzling why there isn't a stronger push for better terms when this might be the only available opportunity.
"I don't understand the logic of 'not pushing back' on this new bill.
What would be downsides when the cost of letting it pass is so high? I see some people saying 'we should take what we have,' but they never say why we shouldn't push for more when this is our best, and maybe only, chance."
