The Responsible Hikers. Finish The Tale #23.

They finally reached the pick of the hiking trail, only to realize they left the snacks and water in the car. How could you was the first thing Taye, the oldest person among them, could say? He said that because he was bothered about who to send down the mountain all alone.

All the six people on the mountain with him were all of teenage age, he was sure that sending them back alone could be dangerous as they might want to explore other parts of the mountain without supervision which he would not like.

Taye said to himself facing the other children it is my responsibility to take care of you all because your parents entrusted you to me. He braced up like he remembered something, with chin up he dished out responsibilities to the children one after the other. He said Dolupo, please ensure that this place is swept, you do not expect us to sit in dirt right? Dolupo said okay.

Sunmbo, Kola, Iyabo and Samson, the four of you should spread the mat while I and Godwin will go down to bring the food and water so we can stay for a couple of hours before going home. The kids seemed not to like the ideas he said to them, pack up and let's go back home and that did the trick.

They all swung into action because they were not ready to go back home without having fun. In no time, the space had been swept, the mat was already spread and the food and water in fact with drinks were already up. Taye looked around in fulfilment and applaud the children for their joint effort and collective responsibility.
