Technology, Two sides of a coin.

When I was younger, I lived with my grandmother in a city while my father lived with his new family in another state. I did not have the opportunity of talking to or seeing my father except for when we traveled many miles. A trip we embacked on only during holidays.

Last December I traveled to another state leaving my children in a relative's custody. I had to monitor the house through a camera which was made possible with technology. I called them a countless times and they were able to witness the program I went for through tech. I attended a lot of online classes within and outside the country. Just last week, I attended a friend's wedding which took place in the diaspora through the Internet.

Putting these two scenarios into consideration, one can easily say technology has made life easier for all. Apart from call or face time, technology has made kitchen games easy for cooks, classroom activities and distance learning fun for learners in all stages of learning, doctors in different forms and all the people in different works of life.

At the same time, technology can become complicated. There should be a limit to everything. When a user becomes too addicted to a device in the name of playing and killing boredom then it can be said to be complicated.

Talking more about complications of technology. In the past, people used to have real friends from the neighborhood but with the invention and development of technology, people prefer virtual friends more than real ones. Technology has made a lot of people walk into the den of bad people disguised as online friends.

Technology has made a lot of families bailed out on each other. Meal time that used to be the best time spent together in some families has now become a time to catch up with the latest trending gist online. Every member of the family now stays glued to their devices laughing at unfunny jokes instead of maintaining eye contact and enjoying real conversation with their family.

To every advantage there is a disadvantage. As good as technology is in making our life easier, if technology is not checked it could be complicated.
