Stranded on a tour finish the tale #20.

The family vacation was going on smoothly until someone realized they'd booked the Airbnb for the wrong week. It was the beginning of summer holidays and the tenagers in a circle I belong to decided to go for vacation in Egypt.

They had intended to visit some places of interest and wonder of life like the pyramids of Gaza, the Egyptian museum,valley of the kings and the Nile river for a cruise before returning after the third day.

Karem my son had a smooth ride from home to the airport before their plane took off at fifteen minutes past three in the afternoon while we their parents left the airport for our respective houses. The flight was supposed to last for five to six hours so I was expecting my son to give me a call after landing around ten or eleven o'clock in the night after they must have settled in at the Airbnb we booked ahead of the trip.

As expected, Kareem's call came through at ten fifty eight but instead of the expected excitement I was expecting to hear through his voice,what I got was fear. He said mom we have landed and called an uber to take us to our lodge only to be told by the agency incharge that we were not booked for today but Wednesday next week.

Ah! This is going to be a big problem as the distance between Egypt to Nigeria is not a child's play. I told Kareem to calm down and give me few minutes. After ending the call,I called Mrs Shittu a friend who also has a child on the tour and she promised to call a friend.

After what seems like the longest thirty minutes of my life, Mrs Shittu called back to inform me that it has been sorted and I showed my gratitude to her before dropping the call. After that,I called Kareem who later explained to me saying mom Mrs Shittu called a friend and she has promised to host us for three days but on the conditions that she will not be responsible for our feeding.

I can not help but to pray for Mrs Shittu's friend from my heart. The next line of action is to look for a way to cancel the Airbnb reservation and request for a refund.
