Kiss blog 174: Thoughtful gifts I like.

Good day everyone, welcome to my blog

There is this woman in my area who sells pepper to me, she has a toddler who just started food demonstration, meaning she had to prepare soft fresh meals for the chid at least twice a in a day then her camp gas got spoiled.

I had to offer her mine which had been in my kitchen for a while garthing dust and rusting off due to lack of usage. She was appreciative of the gift not because she couldn't afford it but because it will save her some cash and stress and I was glad to help.

The kind of thoughtful gifts I will give to someone as a minimalist will be a gift that I know will be useful to them. To get to know what may be useful to them, I can ask questions or investigate.

As I will not really appreciate something for their cost but their worth. In giving gift, irrespective of the gender, I will get a durable wrists watch. The type that is not so expensive but will last a while.

Another thoughtful gift I can give to someone is kitchen utensils like pots, kettle and plates. I remember a colleague gifting me a pot some years back. The kettle in my kitchen is a gift from Valentine's hang out years ago.

Though kitchen utensils may not be useful immediately but in a long run, they will eventually get to be used. Each time I use my kettle to boil some water or use the other pot to prepare fried rice during festivals I get to remember where they come from and I appreciate them the more.

If the person I am to gift an item to is an aged person, I will gift them simple dress or clothing and shoes(flat shoes or slippers) that they feel comfortable in. I remember my grandmother always looking forward to my gift because they are usually either a simple dress, flat slippers or just a plain white underwear skirt.

To me , the quality or quality of the gift does not matter. What matters are the thoughts behind them.

Thank you for taking your time to read through, Yours truly @elizy, a teacher, mother and passionate writer

Enjoy today while it last, tomorrow is not promised

Asking to know what gifts can be given is very important so as not to get something that will not be useful in the end.

When it comes to gifting, intentionality should be at the forefront. Gifting thoughtfully, allows the receiver know that they are seen and appreciated by the giver. Also, it’s a crucial step to avoiding clutter. It’s good that you’re implementing this in your giftings. Cheers💕

Gifting people items that will be useful and that they might actually appreciate and use (Even if they don't look like typical gifts) is the best.:)
