HN-WK97 -COSTLY.
Hello and welcome to my blog.
Democracy is a system of government that is masses centred. The President is the head of a democratic Republic. A good example of a democratic republic is my dear country Nigeria.
Though it is difficult for a president in a democratic system of government to make a decision and act on it without consulting the house of representatives due to checks and balances and delegated legislative, at the same time a president have the right to present as much as many ideas to the house either for deliberations or for signing.
Need we also know that a candidate can not be said to be a democratic president if he did not contest and win in an election. One of the things the masses put into consideration during an election is the promises made by presidential aspirants or candidats during election campaign or what I will rather call manifesto.

If I have the opportunity of becoming the president of Nigeria some day, one thing I will do is to work on price control. What I mean by this is that I will make sure that almost all the commodities have a uniform price and if at all the price will be different, it won't be something outrageous.
One of the things that is killing an average Nigerian today is price of things in our local market. If you visit the market today you will realise that people now sell their ware at any amount they like instead of the normal regulated prices.
As a result of this unregulated price, a lot of citizens are being forced to live way far below their means because their monthly salary can only sustain them for a week or two if they are to live the way they ought to.

This unregulated price control is also helping the rich to enrich themselves more because they buy things in bulk and at cheaper rates and sell at expensive rate to the poor making double profits which could be outrageous.
Some times last year, I read a publication where Alinko Dangote(A Nigeria business man) stated that the whole saler of his cement see more profit than him the producer. How possible?. He said he was selling his cement at the rate of three thousand naira per bag. Guess what?. Yes you are right, during those periods cement was being sold for eight thousand five hundred naira per be bag.

In a lay man's language, the retailers are the one benefiting more from the profit instead of the manufacturer which is not supposed to be so.
A friend of mine may be homeless few months from now if care is not taken. Here is what happened. Her landlord wants her out of the house and she went to dialogue with him. The landlord said he want them out because he want to increase his house rent. My friend summoned the courage to ask him for the new price. You won't believe it if I tell you that the man is planning to increase the house rent by one hundred and fifty percent.
In a case where there is price control, every individual will know what an item is cost in a given market or location and be able to plan and make budget according to their income.
Lastly price control will help my government to regulate tax income. Those who over charge people for a service or commodity pay the same amount of tax with those who sell at the correct price making them to make more money (profits) for themselves.
With price control everybody will buy things at almost the same price and this will bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, Kill every possible means of oppressions and create a liveable environment for the masses.
Thank you for reading till the end.
Indeed with the uniformity of price, their will be optimum control in the economy of our control, thanks for sharing with us @ellizy
