Happiness is Free

Good day everyone, welcome to my blog.

Over the years, a lot of people find happiness in relationships either with their friends, families or spouse but I am of the opinion that who should be responsible for his or her happiness.

If one tags his happiness to a relationship, what happens when such a relationship comes to an end or the partner wants out or dies, life may become worthless to such a person who tags his)her happiness into such a relationship.

If one's happiness is tied to success, such a person may feel overwhelmed or too depressed to try again after a failure. And in a case of possession, what if it gets spoiled, stolen or outdated and one is unable to afford a new set, frustration or depression which may make life not worth leaving set in.

In my opinion, I will agree that happiness is something you build from within because all the above listed sources of happiness may not lead a lifetime but one whose happiness is within will be happy irresistible in any situation they may find themselves.

One whose happiness is from within always finds a way to be happy even in a sad situation. Haven said that they learn to make lemonade from lemon which life may throw on their path in the journey of life.

Some time ago the first son of a popular general overseer of a church died, all the congregation were in total mourning and were planning a low key Sunday service against the next Sunday but the general overseer announced it to be a service of thanksgiving.

That was easier for him not because he did not live his son nor because he would not miss him and the beautiful memories they had shared together but he was able to do that because he had never attached his happiness to that his late son and because he has grown to the point of being able to make lemonade from the lemon that came his way at that point in time.

In finding happiness, one can celebrate every milestone of achievement, engage in what we love, prioritize oneself (self-love) and avoid toxic people and the environment. Simply put, you are the key to your own happiness.It is your happiness so you should be responsible for it.
