FISH SAGA.
Hello and welcome to my blog.
While growing up I had a lot of beautiful movements moving from one place to another either through relocation or visitations. Our relocation are either within or outside a state.
Our last relocation was about twenty years ago. Before the relocation, my grandmother and I were living in Ibadan and we had to relocate to Lagos because my uncles wanted their mother to come live with them.
My uncles were bachelors expect for my dad and my oldest uncle who are single fathers so no one could prepare soup in readiness for our arrival. We arrived at night so we managed bread and akara that night.
My cousin Yinka and I went to the market very early the following morning to buy soup ingredients at the nearby market. We bought a fish named Kote because my cousin's dad requested for it.
While we were in the kitchen cooking my cousin's dad came to the kitchen to wispper something to me. I must be sincere I did not hear what he said well but I just assumed. Due to assumption I told my cousin that her dad said we should eat the head of the Kote fish.
When I told her, come and see her dancing like someone who won jackpot because the head of the Kote fish was very big. We ate it anyway and we really enjoyed it.
Time to serve him food came and we served his food with a big cut of another part of the fish and he said ori eja mi da(where is my head of fish). The movement he said that I became blank.
Yinka his daughter came to my rescue saying ah daddy Ade said you told us to eat it and we already did. Heaven was let loose, he kept on ranting. It was like he had imagined himself eating the head of the Kote fish and the thought of him not being able to do so got him to talk more.
At the end of the day my grandmother added another fish for him to make two but he keept on talking non stop. I avoided him through out that period but each time I remember I always smile at his imaginary salivation that promptedl his frustration and anger.
Thank you for reading to the end.
All images are mine.
Your assumption nearly put you in trouble with that head of fish 😂😂
Sincerely
