CF: Powerful Couple.
Hello and welcome to my blog.
Do you believe an action taken in ones past life can come to replay or affect their present life?. I used to think our past and present life have nothing in common till some few months ago and here is why………..
Mr and Mrs Atunwa were powerful couple who made sure they provided every necessity for their children. They had Three of them namly Bola, Boye and Bosun. Bola the first child was an ambitious lady, Boye was doing well as well , he works in their father's firm and Bosun the last child just finished serving.
It was Mrs Atunwa's sixtyth birthday so she thought to herself, “what could probably go wrong in my family? My children are doing well and my husband and I have everything under control. Definitely nothing! I think it time I spoil myself a little. This year I will be throwing a birthday party for myself so she told her husband. Mr Atunwa was happy that his wife is ready to put herself first after decades of toling to raise the children and care for the family.
All hands were on deck to enable the success of the birthday party. Caterer , DJ, Hype man where all contracted after invites where sent out. Bola the first child gave an invite to her boss at the close of work on a Friday which happens to be two weekends from the party and the boss said seriously, Atunwa Limited are your parents and you still came to work for us? Then Bola said yes they are I came for the experience and jokenly and left.
Sincerely Bola was working in another firm in other to gain experience to be a better boss when she becomes the chairman of her father's firm in case. Boye on the other hand was working at their father's company already so he felt he will automatically become the chairman After their father's retirement then we have the baby of the house Bosun thinking his father is supposed to offer him a position in his company so saw no need to go Job hunting.
At the party, Mr Atunwa was having a private conversations with his family saying… children, I thank you for being here today and thank you for all that you do, nothing has gone unnoticed so far we appreciate all your efforts. As you all know, the age gape between your mother and I is ten years so on the occasion of her sixtyth birthday I wish to tell you children that I will be stepping down as the Director of the company very soon.
Boye was so happy, he thought his time has come. At their mothers party he was over joyed than the celebrant. During the party a big fight broke out between Boye and Bosun his younger brother and their parents had to rush in to settle it without their invited guest getting to know what was going on. While trying to find out what was wrong, Bosun walked out on all of them.
At the end of the party, everyone continued their normal life but Bosun will always pick a fight with someone. Either their domestic staff, his siblings or even his father and when such happens the only person who could calm him down was his mother. Mrs Atunwa became bother by this sudden change of character. She even and went to a prist for divination there she was told that it's some event that had happened in her previous life that is affecting her present life.
The priest said….. during your past life, you had three sons for different fathers, two of them inherited their father after thier fathers death but the last one had nothing to inherite and he had to start life from scratch because his father was not well so do and that is why Bosun your last son is fighting to get a place for himself in this second life.
Then the prist continued by saying to put an end to the unending rivery between your sons, you will need to appeals the gods by offering Eko and Epo pupa (pap and palm oii) to the gods. Mrs Atunwa did not waste time, she performed the ritual immediately and offer prayers to the gods to put an end to the rivery between her children.
At the end of the unending power tussle and fight amongs the Atunwa's children for the post of the director, Mr Atunwa called a meeting and during the cause of the meeting he said I have noticed the fight and power tussle between you my children since I announced my retirement during your mother's birthday party.
Well as you all know, the company is mine and in my name so I have decided to share it among you my three children in order of your birth which means the oldest gets thirty percent, the second person gets twenty five percent and the youngest gets fifteen percent for now but I will review the youngest's share once he is married.
He paused for a while took a sip from the glass of water on the table and continued saying while my right hand man Mr Falodun get five percent because he has been with us for a long time and also he will be the next Director and I will control things from afar as the chairman. Meanwhile, Mr Falodun is Bola's fiance and only Mr Atunwa knows about that for now.
Thank you for reading till the end ❤️💕💕

Good storyline juxtapositioning past and present.
Something like reincarnation right?
It is also well resoluted as well.
Greetings.
Rich parents always have this kind of problem where their children refuse to launch out and do well on their own, simply because their eyes are on the wealth of their parents.
But I love how Mr Atunwa resolved the issue.
Im just glad they didn't do anything stupid
The power tussle in these rich families always gives headache
Interesting piece
Hello @ellizy. This was an interesting direction that you took this in! There are a few things that you need to consider though. The Ink Well expects all of our writers to submit stories that have been edited to correct for issues with spelling, punctuation, and grammar. This requires only light editing, and not advanced AI editing that would likely get you into trouble. The creative act of writing a short story doesn't end with a first draft; it requires proofreading, editing, and revised drafts, before the final piece is ready to be published. The youngest child sounds like he has issues that transcend his desire to protect his inheritance. If this is a red herring then his desire to fight with everyone should probably be omitted. If it is relevant, it should be further developed. One final thing... you make a point of showing the % that each beneficiary will get from the estate, but the reader is left wondering about the missing 25%! The story, while it has an interesting angle, nevertheless feels a little incomplete and underdeveloped.
