AN UNPLANNED TOUR.

Good day everyone, welcome to my blog.

It's fells so good to have a community where we can share our past experiences be it the good, the sweet and the interesting (good, bad and ugly).

I was scrolling through my phone gallery this morning and I saw photos from an unplanned tourism I did with my children in May 2023 and I thought to share with you all.

It was on a Saturday and my second son had serious cold so I decided to take him to general hospital. On getting to the hospital, we were told that they attend to only emergence cases on weekends.

I pleaded with one of the doctors on duty to please attend to us as my son was in great discomfort and we where given just first aid and we left the hospital.

Seeing that the day was still very young for me to keep three active boys by myself I decided to take them on a stroll through some places in Badagry.

We took a bike to the Badagry high court and I showed them the few things we could see from outside because it was on a Saturday, they were not opened.

Then my youngest son asked where convicted criminals are usually being kept and that lead to us taking another bike to the Badagry correctional center.

Unfortunately, the correctional facilities said they don't allow visitors in on Saturdays because it's their sanitation day. We had to just look at the big fence and large gate then move on.

As we were moving out then I remember that the Seriki Abass Williams slave trade mussium was on the same street. We just scrolled down. We booked a section and the tourist took his time to explain things to my boys in it's simplest form

We took pictures of what we were allowed too like the sharp adge bowl that the slaves drank from, and some shackles which they use on the slaves. Rhen we proceed to the miracle well which shares the same location as the first story building in Nigeria. The well was built since 1896 and it still tastes good.

Unfortunately, my youngest son said he was not going to cross the ocean and i couldn't leave him by himself so we had to cut the journey half way and release our tour guide.

By that time, it was already late afternoon so I took them to beach town for lunch before we headed back home. All the three of them slept off immediately we entered into the vichele that took us home. They were all tired and exhausted.
