Fethiye, Turkey - A Place of Peace and Happiness
Hello friends. Right now we are in one of my favorite places in Turkey, the city of Fethiye, where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean. With a population under 200,000, it is much calmer compared to places like Alanya or Antalya. The sea and sunbeds are just a small beginning. Paragliding over Ölüdeniz, one of the most beautiful bays in Turkey, is within reach for almost everyone. You can also discover Saklıkent Canyon, the second largest in Europe, ancient ruins and the famous Lycian Way.
Fethiye is also very accessible. Dalaman Airport is nearby and it's only about three hours from Antalya. On a previous trip, we rented a car from the airport and reached the beach in just one hour.
One of the most popular activities in Fethiye is going on a boat tour. Its closeness to Göcek, a major yachting hub in the area, plays a big role in this. The view from the sea is completely different and very enjoyable. I feel happy every time I pass through. You can leave the city and experience a new atmosphere. Göcek is small, but it offers a unique charm of its own.
When I came here, life slowed down. But that was a good thing. Now I can really enjoy life. I wake up every morning to the sound of birds and feel thankful to live here. I genuinely feel happy.
Fethiye has some beautiful parks too. We visited one called Şehit Fethi Bey Park. Children and athletes really enjoy it. There are football, basketball and volleyball courts, running and cycling paths and relaxing spots by the sea. I highly recommend it, especially for families with kids.
For remote workers who are looking for a peaceful and comfortable lifestyle, Fethiye might be one of the best places in Turkey. It has a pleasant climate, a calm environment and many different activities. During my visit, I talked to people who had moved here and built a life, even though they don't work remotely. They all seemed very happy. If your income does not depend on a big city, Fethiye can feel like paradise.
It is also a perfect holiday destination. Renting a car to explore the area or sailing around the bays is an amazing experience.
