C-Lounge Hotel Alanya Experience – Turkey
Hello everyone. During our holiday in Alanya, we stayed at the Sunprime C-Lounge Hotel, which operates on an all-inclusive basis. This is a five-star hotel located in the Oba district, right in the city center of Alanya. We had never stayed in this area before. I had mentioned that we stayed at Asia Beach a long time ago and more recently, we had been going to places like Side. But we hadn’t really stayed in the very center of Alanya before.
In my opinion, this hotel is definitely worth considering because it feels more like a city hotel. Once you step outside, everything is within walking distance. You can walk to the harbor, the boats, Cleopatra Hill and Cleopatra Beach. Many people prefer hotels in the city center, as the situation is different in the suburbs. Here, stepping outside gives you instant access to everything you need.
A one-week all-inclusive double occupancy package from Europe is around 2000 dollars. This includes flights, insurance, transfers, accommodation and all meals. Since we were already in Alanya, we only booked accommodation.
The hotel is blue-colored and is located right across from the beach. It is almost in the first row facing the sea. There are many hotels in this area. This part of Alanya, called Lower Oba, is entirely designed for hotels and all-inclusive holidays. The beach is right by the pier.
This is an adults-only hotel, specifically for guests aged 16 and over. Some rooms have sea views, while others overlook the city. As soon as we checked in, we were given our all-inclusive wristbands. With this wristband, we had access to all of the hotel’s facilities including the restaurant and the bar. Since we arrived early, we were told we had to wait a little for our room. Still, even if you arrive early in the morning, like at 8 am, they provide the wristband so you can start enjoying the hotel services right away.
We headed straight to lunch because we had not even had breakfast yet. The chandelier at the entrance was beautiful. Then we made our way to the restaurant, which is on the ground floor. At the entrance, we were greeted by a typical open buffet offering pasta, spaghetti with Bolognese sauce, lamb and grilled fish. I liked it immediately. There were also vegetable dishes like okra and white beans. For soup, there was a classic Turkish option, with cream on the side if desired.
The restaurant’s interior and outdoor terrace were both pleasant and offered a nice view. The vegetable and salad section was rich, but to be honest, after all the fish, meat and seafood, salads weren’t very tempting. Still, there were many options such as anchovies, mussel salad, corn salad, calamari, shrimp salad and even sun-dried tomato. We couldn’t decide what to choose.
I had missed the all-inclusive holiday experience and didn’t know where to start. We sampled a bit of everything. We couldn’t identify exactly what type of fish we were eating, but the white fish was very nice. It was simply cooked with lemon and no extra spices. The red fish was also delicious, tender and boneless and it was prepared with spinach. Seafood was available both hot and cold.
We had a great meal and then looked out from the terrace at the hotel view. The sunbeds were mostly empty since everyone was at lunch. It was the perfect time to sunbathe, so we went down to the pool.
There was another dining area nearby, though I was not sure whether it was meant for snacks. Meanwhile, they were making gözleme, a Turkish flatbread. If it is your first time in Turkey, you should try it. It is very tasty.
The hanging chairs were cozy and ideal for taking photos. The whole area was suitable for photography. Right next to the road, there was a sunbathing section that you could easily access. If you can't find a spot downstairs, it is a peaceful alternative for relaxing alone. The only downside is that you need to go downstairs to reach the pool. On the other hand, it is much quieter here and you can sunbathe all day without interruption.
This hotel feels like a city hotel but offers the added benefits of a beach resort. You can rest inside, then simply cross the street to swim at the beach. In the evening, it is pleasant to walk along the coast. The area is full of places to explore. If you like, you can join tours to Pamukkale and Cappadocia. It is also possible to book trips to Side, Belek, Antalya, or Kemer. There are even Disneyland-themed excursions.
After lunch, we moved into our room. It was bright and elegant, with a bottle of wine, glasses and a small sitting area. The beds were very comfortable and bathrobes were provided. There were also slippers branded with Sunprime Hotels. Not every hotel offers bathrobes, so this was a nice touch that reflected quality. The room included thoughtful details like artwork, a tea and coffee set, bottled water and a mini-fridge. They also offered a selection of four different pillows. There was a TV, a large mirror and space reserved for luggage.
At the entrance there were mirrored wardrobes, a safe, an ironing board and plenty of hangers. In the bathroom, everything was ready to use including towels, a hairdryer and a clean, modern shower cabin. Both tropical and standard showerheads were available. There was even a phone next to the toilet.
On the balcony, there was a table and chairs with a beautiful view. You could see the sea, palm trees and sunbeds. The scenery was especially attractive during sunset.
We went down to the pool, where the bar was located right next to it. Toilets and showers were nearby, making the area compact but very functional. The pool was 1.4 meters deep, which is ideal for most people.
At the snack bar, there were pizza, burgers and gözleme options. Gözleme is worth trying. It can be filled with cheese, potatoes, or minced meat. Some cocktails at the bar were included in the all-inclusive deal, while others required an additional charge. Drinks made with local alcohol were free, but imported ones had a cost. I tried something like a margarita, a fresh and lemony drink.
Dinner was just as rich in variety with options such as seafood, lamb, meatballs, sea bass, white fish, pasta, salads, vegetables, rice and desserts. We had pasta with seafood and sea bass. The setting was stylish and enjoyable.
The next morning at breakfast, there were omelets, sausages, different kinds of cheese, yogurt, fruits, olives and desserts. We had a light breakfast and then went to the spa. There is a sauna, Turkish bath and massage services available.
In the lobby bar, there were comfortable seating areas and some drinks were complimentary. The garden featured swings and shaded beds. Each day, a different activity was offered such as karaoke, live music, water games or aerobics.
You can reach the beach directly from the hotel using an underpass, so there is no need to cross the road. The sandy beach, pier and sunbeds are all accessible. You can also watch fish while snorkeling. There is a deeper section for confident swimmers and a shallower area for others.
Later on, we returned to the hotel and sat at the café. They served desserts, tea, coffee and ice cream. We had tea and a variety of mixed desserts. The ice cream selection was wide. Having a café in the hotel is a great advantage and a peaceful option for those who prefer not to visit the bar.
We checked out after breakfast the next morning.
