Yarn Bombing: The Artistic Way to Spice Up Your Walks

While having a little holiday visiting a friend of mine in Dorset, I took her pooch for an early morning walk. We are having a mini warm spell at the moment. Today was no exception, so we made our way down to the local park.

I enjoy early morning walks as there's not many people about.

The small stream was an orange colour. The iron ochre in the water comes from the old abandoned iron mines.

I've been coming here for years, but not once have I seen any bikes parked here! If you come here on your bike, you wouldn't get off it. You would keep riding it as there is a nice flat footpath along the river.

I know rhododendron bushes are quite invasive, but they do bring a nice bit of colour to the woods.

Walking back through the village, a mystery person who crochets and knits funny post box toppers has done another wonderful creation of a teapot, a cup of tea, and a slice of cake.

As I have no sense of direction, I literally follow the dog's lead. At least one of us knows the way home, and it's not me.

Just looking at such dense grass it seems that no one comes here. However, this is a bit difficult to accept because this place is truly full of natural beauty. I love this knitted post box :D

Thank you very much. It is a popular dog walking spot but I got up early to have it all to myself.

Dorset is very beautiful. The park seems like a forest with many big trees. The dogie looks so happy. The knitting is just great. Very funny.
