The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 409

Badger Beers is a popular brewery in Dorset, UK. They have become quite popular amongst beer drinkers. One of their standout beers is a ruby ale called 'Corborne Poacher' that has earned them two World Beer Awards in the flavoured beer category. I spotted the beer in my local supermarket. I'm no beer connoisseur, so it was the label that stood out for me on the shelf. I do find Badger Beers quite appealing on the eye. Perhaps I'm just shallow! It was perfectly priced at £2.50 and vegan friendly.

As it was a warmish day I popped up to the local wood for a photo shoot. I tried to avoid other people. I suspect it does look a bit odd for someone to go into the wood with a bottle of beer in their hand.

Once I opened the bottle, I could instantly smell berries and a very hoppy aroma. I thought it didn't get better than this!

After a quick taste I found the ruby ale quite strong and full-bodied. Everyone has a different palette and I did notice a fruity taste with only a slight chocolate flavour. The liquorice was an aftertaste. I found it quite refreshing.

With regard to the alcohol content, this ruby ale has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 5.7%. This level of alcohol is quite strong for some drinkers, including me, especially those who see themselves as lightweights. However, I will definitely have it again.

This is #BeerSaturday week and I would like to invite @derbyshirelad to write a post in any language about beer with at least 3 pictures.
