Phone Photography Contest - Round 96: A Reluctant Misty Walk

(Edited)

It was quite misty this morning. It was also cold, so I had to motivate myself to go for a walk. Staying under the duvet, where it was nice and warm, was more inviting. I decided to walk to the top end of the village where it's probably the highest. I stuck to the road mostly, as it was wet and muddy. I'm getting fed up of going back home with wet feet. My trainers are getting a pummelling and they just continually smell of dampness all of the time.

I did spot some fungi along the way. There's little to see at the moment.

I wanted to have a walk around the perimeter of the field, but the gate was well and truly padlocked. I didn’t want to climb over it in case it was private property.

There are houses along this road, and they have really lovely views over the fields, with the mist hanging in the air.

I wondered what next week will bring weatherwise, as snow is forecast on the higher ground, but sadly I think my village will miss it. As I returned home, it was all downhill from then on.

Thank you to @untilwelearn and the team for running the #phonephotography contest.

That looks lovely around there. I quite like misty conditions.

I love the mist but wasn't feeling it this morning. I'm back inside with the heating on. 😄

It's incredibly beautiful in the daylight,🌻 but in the darkness of night, this misty walk can seem frightening.😅

I think I've got to that age I refuse to go out at night. 😁
