Phone Photography Contest - #67

On another hot day, for my daily walk, I decided to walk through the barley fields of a nearby village.

I think I spent a lot of time playing in fields like this when I was young, making dens, playing on the bales of straw and running away from the farmer!

The branches of the wild cherry trees that ran along the edge of the field, were blowing in the wind. On the ground beneath were fallen cherries.

Back on the road I came across some purple flowers in someone's garden, the bees buzzing with activity.

I also spotted some dried pine cones off the nearby trees. Everything is so dry at the moment with the lack of rain.

Back at the lido, if you look closely there is a coot feeding its chick hidden amongst the lilies.
