Phone Photography Contest - #55

My morning walk was around the site of a former colliery and miner's training centre. It's both the start and end point of many walks, although, a lot of dog walkers tend to just walk in a circular route around the park.

This park hosts two ponds. If you are lucky, you will spot water voles and numerous dragonflies.

I followed the narrow footpath that runs alongside one of the ponds.

The open land has no footpaths apart from around the perimeter. It is a natural habitat dedicated to wildlife. Dogs have to be on a lead during nesting season.

There is a big depression in the area that previously accommodated the miner's training centre.

Along the side of the open field there are vibrant green leaves mixed in with delicate white blossoms.

At the end of my walk I caught sight of the season’s very first yellow cowslip hiding in the undergrowth.

I literally feel short of words to describe the beauty of the place you live. ❤️

You should definitely do it. Although I love my country and will make my permanent home here only, whenever I get a vacation for 1-2 months, I would love to visit your city once and enjoy living there in a house like common people. 😊
