Our Stay in a Glamping Pod in Charmouth, Dorset, UK

We travelled to Charmouth, Dorset, UK, to stay in a glamping pod. It's not something I've done before, so I was really looking forward to it. The pooch couldn't wait to get inside!

The campsite is less than a mile from Charmouth Beach and the Jurassic Coast and is surrounded by the countryside with lovely views. It has a lake, indoor heated swimming pool, reception area/shop, and its own onsite cafe (when it's open)! The campsite has a variety of campervans, static caravans, tents, and pods. It also has a couple of good dog walking areas.

The pods are more spacious than I thought with a double bed, and a bunk bed which is quite wide. I had to tidy up for the photoshoot. We've only been here a day, and already the pod looks like a pig sty.

The only issue we have is that it's a bit of a trek to the shower/toilet block. We are only stopping a couple of nights, so it's not a massive problem.

Charmouth is only a couple of miles from the pretty seaside resort of Lyme Regis, famous for its fossils. You can find your own on some of the beaches here, but sadly, we didn't find any today.

That’s a very famous place for film setting! Lovely beach resort.

This is super cool. I’ve always wanted to go glamping but now I have kids it’s easier to stay somewhere that has its own toilets and showers.

We have been camping in tents for a lot of times already but never tried glamping. Experiencing nature in comfort and style 😃

This must be the most quaint glamping setup I have ever seen - a glamping pod, just awesome!
It looks like the best of both worlds, with the rolling green hills and the beach all in one.

Yes, I really enjoyed it. Only issue was, it was a trek to the toilet. That's camping for you!
