My Entry to the Phone Photography Contest - #69

The rain that was forecast arrived this morning. It was very welcome as everything is looking dry and the ponds are drying up.

Along the footpath on my morning walk, I spotted a yellow and black Alder Moth caterpillar on a leaf. The caterpillar had little hairs sticking from its yellow segments. When the caterpillars are young, the grubs look like bird poo. I suppose this helps protect them from being eaten by birds.

Under the bridge, I spotted something red on the ground and I was curious to know what it was. It looked as though it was a windfall of cherry plums. I decided not to try them, though.

There were also some rowan berries and apples. It was a good spot for foragers.

It went quite overcast at one point. Unfortunately, I was halfway around my walk when it started raining. Thankfully, it wasn’t a very heavy shower, just enough to freshen things up.

Thank you to @untilwelearn and the team for running the Phone Photography Contest - #69.

The entire route of your morning walk is filled with beautiful sceneries. It was a good decision not to eat anything that looked like a fruit because nature too has many shades. :)
