From Sun to Stormy Skies in a Matter of Minutes

Down at the local nature reserve it was a bit too warm. I don't like walking in the full glare of the sun as it's quite draining.

There were lots of yellow poppies blowing in the wind. They are self setters so they get everywhere.

Another snail saved! The sun had brought out the dog walkers, cyclists and joggers and I didn't want the little snail squashed. I popped it onto the grass edge to safety.

I spotted something white amongst the ducks at one of the ponds. I couldn't quite see what it was but was hoping it was an egret. Knowing my luck it will be a plastic bag. It wasn't until I took a photo that I realised it was definitely an egret. Always take the photo!

The oxeye daisies and meadow buttercups are pretty but very common wildflowers that grow practically everywhere.

The vibrant yellow irises, are really thriving at the moment near the water's edge.

There is a nice wood sculpture of a heron here. It's a pity the birds up above are pooing on it. That's critique for you!

In typical British style the weather went from sunny to stormy skies in a matter of minutes. There was a large dark cloud in the distance so I decided my time was up and went back to the car.

Very lovely countryside! Very green and full of wildlife and wild flowers. Love to be waking there too. You’ve a good camera, you could get to see the bird!

Those dark clouds would take ages to arrive. The warm weather is bit overwhelming! 😂

Unfortunately, I couldn't get too close to the bird as it was on the otherside of the pond. I was impressed that at my age, I could still see something white! 😀
