Finding Peace in a Churchyard Walk

It was very wet and misty this morning. I don't like the rain to deter me from taking a walk, so I just popped up to my village church. I'd forgotten it was Sunday, so the church bells were ringing for Sunday Service. I'm not a churchgoer, so I tiptoed past the church door in case someone tried to persuade me to join the service.

Normally, I see lots of squirrels and robins in this graveyard. As per usual, because I had my long lens camera with me, not one squirrel or robin appeared.

I couldn't see much after the lychgate at the end of the footpath because of the mist.

I've always liked this headstone with the heart on top.

As I was taking this photo, a woman walked past me. I didn't hear her behind me, so she scared me to death. At least I was in the right place if I did pop my clogs!

Even though it was daylight, it was still quite murky along the road. Pedestrians have to be careful here, as the car drivers tend to go too fast.

On my way back home, there were some nice car headlight reflections in the puddles.

What a misty day! Very typical English atmosphere from a detective film! Nice to have regular walks despite the misty and wet weather. The reflections on the road look nice!
