Fields of Green: My Nature Walk

This morning greeted me with frost on the ground. However, as the sun began to rise, it quickly melted away the chill. I took my morning walk in the lovely warmth of the sun.

As I walked through the woods, the long shadows of the trees danced across the ground. It just looked as though this tree had sprouted legs and was sprinting away!

As I walked through the stone stile and looked over the wall, the sky was a brilliant blue with hardly a cloud to be seen.

As I got to the end of the wooded area, I came to a field with a house in the centre. It must be great living miles away from nowhere in such an open space with no noisy neighbours.

Just over the hill was a totally different world with lots of discarded wood, concrete, and a crane that looks as though it hasn't moved for years.

After the field, I walked back up the road and re-entered the bottom of the wood. It was a bit cooler at this end, as no sun was coming through the trees.

It was all uphill for a while, so I was pleased when I got back to the top.

So many footpaths, so many choices! Thankfully, I didn’t need a footpath sign to find my way back home.

What a lovely and peaceful walk you had. The contrast between the frosty morning and the warm sunshine sounds perfect. Your photos capture the beauty of the woods and fields perfectly. I especially love the "tree with legs" shot!

Lovely day for a long walk in the woods. The blue sky is quite amazing. The cool weather and green surroundings make this a very pleasant walk. Love the spring atmosphere.

That old house isn’t empty, I hope. So nice to be far away from the madding crowds.

There's definitely someone living there. At least if they have unwanted visitors, they can see them coming, and not answer the door. 😄
