Cuppa - Coffee House & Deli

We called in at a new café in the village this morning. When I say 'new,' it's actually been here a long time, but it has just changed ownership, has a new name and been totally refurbished. Word had gotten around the village it was opening this week, much to everyone's delight. I think we are all coffee-olics!

When we walked in it was just like a completely different café. The new owner was very friendly, and I was pleased to find out the café is still dog-friendly.

I was expecting the café to be full, as the villagers have been waiting for a few weeks for it to reopen. Thankfully, we managed to get a seat. The brand new coffee machine didn't go unnoticed!

After scouring the menu it looks as though they've cut down on cakes. I don't mind this as it's less temptation. They still offer a takeaway service, such as salad boxes, baked potatoes, paninis and sandwiches. We didn't have much time, so we just decided to have a cappuccino, an oat milk latte and a bowl of water for the dog! The previous owner only served cow's milk so this was a pleasant surprise. In fact, the new owner seemed a lot more accommodating to customer's likes and dislikes. Also, the coffee tasted a lot nicer than the previous café. Plus, there was 20% off.

I liked the two rabbits on the counter and the brick wallpaper. They have good taste as I have the same wallpaper in my bathroom. 🙂

I didn’t realise the teaspoons were heart shaped until I came to stir my coffee. I like little touches like this. My first visit was very enjoyable so I will definitely go back. I like this café as it is within walking distance from my flat. I can get drunk on coffee and then walk back home! 😆
