Coffee at the Adventure Bikes and Cycle Café - Get Me Out of Here!

We decided to go for coffee at the "Adventure Bikes and Cycle Café" that is situated in a shopping and leisure village in the countryside. It's a café we've never visited before, so I was really looking forward to it.

As the notice states, the café is cyclist and dog friendly and every Tuesday there is a chance for customers to meet and greet friendly dogs and their owners in the café. All looking good so far ...

The shop is a combination of three businesses under one roof. Downstairs, there's a soft play area for children, with a café where parents can wait while their children play.

On the other side of the wooden partition is another café, for those not using the soft play area. Upstairs, there's a cycle shop.

Upon entering, we noticed numerous bicycle related items on display, bicycles for sale, helmets, clothes etc.

The menu was in a copper piping frame which was quite industrial looking, which I liked.

We ordered two black americanos. Unfortunately, as per usual they bought us a small jug of milk, which isn't my idea of a black americano! Why do they like wasting milk? Also, the waitress's customer service skills could definitely be improved, as she was quite brusque.

All I can say is it could have been an enjoyable experience in such a quirky place but the noise from the children playing behind the partition was very off - putting. It wasn't their fault, the place was just badly designed. Sadly, the coffee wasn't very palatable either. It's the first time I've been unable to finish a coffee. It just tasted like hot water. Perhaps the low price reflected the quality. "You get what you pay for," as the saying goes. In the end, we couldn’t wait to get out of there!

The coffee shop is very unique. A cool place to have your coffee. The coffee mug is something like a traditional one, I remember when I was a kid the same coffee mug we used in drinking coffee, how nostalgic. Thank you for sharing.

I never could have imagined pairing coffee and bicycles in one frame, so this coffee shop is indeed, eye-catching! It is just sad that the place gets a bit too loud..I also experienced that kind of atmosphere at this cafe, and it really can be a downside.

Hi. Yes, if there was a proper wall between the businesses it would have been fine.
