Celebrating the Spirit of Christmas: A Christmas Tree Festival

During a brief break in the showers, I decided to take a stroll up to my local church to check out the Christmas Tree Festival that was going on.

This festival is a special event where local businesses donate beautifully decorated trees for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Each tree was unique. My favourite was from the local pet shop. They also sell second hand goods with all proceeds going to local animal sanctuaries.

One of the most touching parts of the festival was a tree where you could write a message on a heart-shaped piece of paper and hang it on the tree in memory of a lost loved one.

The elf on the shelf ....

After a week of being on display, all of the trees from the festival will be donated to charity for families who can't afford to buy one, which is the true meaning of Christmas.

Wow, what a meaningful way to help the community. Love all those decorated trees, they are really cute. Are you preparing for the Christmas?

Yes, presents bought and wrapped and cards all written. I'm delivering them now. I'm so bloody organised. 😁

I'm pleased to read your update. ❤️

Well, I think that's the first time I've been called fast and organised but I'm accepting it! New Year is way off yet. You are just taking a steady build up to it. 🙂
