An Abundance of Fungi in the Forest
When I first joined Hive, I never thought I’d spend my time looking around the floor of the forest looking for fungi. Yet it's something I now really enjoy. I even have passersby looking for fungi and flagging them up for me.
There’s something quite interesting about all of the different types of fungi. My favourite of course are the fly agarics. I think because of their colour. It's like you have stepped into fairyland.
Unfortunately, it isn’t long after they've come through that they break up or are damaged. You have to be there at the right time to see them at their best.
These look like a cross between fried eggs and nipples!
Thank goodness the rain had come to bring these beauties through. It was well worth the wait.

Hello Mr. @ellenripley
The same thing happens to us. Every week we visit a reserve with my grandparents to look for mushrooms.
The mushrooms you found this week are so beautiful! They're colorful and very pretty.
Beautiful photographs.
Thank you. It makes the walk more interesting. 🙂
