A Walk on the Sandbanks Beach at Poole, Dorset, UK - Phone Photography Contest - #75
On a bit of an overcast morning we went for a walk on the lovely beach at Sandbanks, Poole, UK. The car parking was literally next to the beach and at this time of the year it is dog friendly. The sky was nice and blue but unfortunately, it didn't stay like that for long.
The pooch loves the sea. He was back and forth having a paddle. He didn't bother having a swim this time.
I do enjoy visiting the beach when there's ominous looking clouds overhead.
The breezy weather was perfect for windsurfing. We did get caught up in a rain shower but it didn’t last long. It was still relatively warm, though.
Later on, we went and sat watching the ferry come in. Sandbanks Chain Ferry is a quick way of visiting Studland on the Isle of Purbeck. It costs £5 each way, but it saves you a longish car trip there and back.
Thank you to @untilwelearn and the team for running the contest.
I have seen the sea only 2 or 3 times in my life and luckily every time I got such lovely cloudy weather in which the beaches seem most enjoyable. Looks like your dog had the most fun at the beach. Beautiful Pictures!
Thank you @untilwelearn. I'm lucky enough to have a friend who lives near the beach.
It's great to see a dog having so much fun at the beach 💖 It's so cool how the weather can change so quickly, but it sounds like a perfect day for a walk and some windsurfing 🙌 What a lovely walk! 💕
Thank you. Yes, there's certain times of the year dogs are allowed on the beach.
