A Walk Around the Reservoir

While picking my friend's dog up to look after him for the forthcoming Christmas holidays, we called in at Carsington Water which is a large reservoir. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't very kind to us as it was quite misty so the usual picturesque views were a bit limited.

We just did a small looped walk around the sculpture 'Stones Island'. The Island is also the site of a Bronze Age barrow which are mostly built for burials but the ones high up can serve as boundary markers, as well.

The reservoir stores water to supply homes to three different counties, in this area.

It did look really murky in the distance.

There is also a sailing club at the reservoir. It's inclusive to everyone as some of the boats have been adapted so disabled people can enjoy sailing.

We did try and attempt the pooch to put his head through the snowman. In the end, you can just see his snout!
