A Visit to Tideswell, Derbyshire, UK
At this time of year, the quaint little villages in my county are very pretty, almost "chocolate box" like. So, today, we visited Tideswell, a village in the middle of the Peak District in Derbyshire, UK.
In the village, there are various holiday lets, including bed and breakfast, self-catering stone cottages, and nearby campsites. Even though I don't live too far from Tideswell, I wouldn't say no to a weekend here.
The village is full of quirky things, such as a pink splattered painted wooden chair in front of a stone cottage.
There was a cute hanging basket with a mix of real and knitted flowers. The people who live in the village seem to think out of the box.
One of the plants over the wooden seat was very eye catching. It might be called a climbing hydrangea, although I'm no expert.
The village features old sash windows, which are often found in rural and historic accommodations.
The old peeling paint on some of the garages and gates also looked really interesting.
Even the road signs look attractive!
Tideswell is definitely a village that is perfect for "chocolate box" photography, with its pretty and quaint scenery.
