A Visit to Biddulph Grange Garden, Staffs, UK

(Edited)

We had the pleasure of visiting Biddulph Grange Gardens on a lovely sunny day. The gardens are situated in Staffordshire, England, and this beautiful garden is known for its Victorian landscaping. While the gardens are owned and managed by the National Trust, the house itself is privately owned and not open to the public. The gardens alone are still well worth the visit.

The garden isn't just for spring and summer either. To keep it interesting for visitors throughout the year, many gardens have evergreen topiary. Topiary is the art of shaping trees and shrubs into artistic forms. Of course, evergreen plants keep their foliage all year round, so if you visit later on in the year the garden will still look attractive.

The garden is cleverly divided into themed areas that draw inspiration from other cultures and landscapes, including designs evocative of China and Ancient Egypt. Visitors can also enjoy both the elegant Italian terraces and the beauty of a Scottish glen.

Additionally, there are tulips that bloom in an array of colours and are a big favourite with flower enthusiasts. The gardeners do a great job in making it look so attractive.

The garden also has a lake where visitors can feed large koi carp. Fish food is available for just £1 at the entrance. The lake also contains other fish species such as perch, tench, roach, and the common carp.

In addition to its beautiful landscapes, Biddulph Garden offers numerous activities suitable for families. Children and adults can enjoy guided tours that are educational and look into the garden's history.

Overall, Biddulph Grange Garden is a mix of culture, nature, and fun, appealing to both garden lovers and those interested in architecture with so many nooks and crannies to explore, and while the sun is out, it looks stunning.

Wow! The tulips are indeed stunning! Their vibrant colors truly added a mesmerizing touch to the garden. Each petal seems to pop against the lush greenery, adding so much energy to the already beautiful surroundings.🥰
