A Stroll to see the Cygnets, Ducklings and Butterflies

Another scorcher today, but it's slightly cooler but not by much. I went to check on the six cygnets down on one of the village ponds. They were in the shade, but as soon as they knew I had food, they swam over to me.

The parents only took a little bit of food and let the cygnets take most of it.

The cygnets are all growing up nicely. It is good that we've not lost any like previous years.

I also fed the mallard duck and her two little ducklings.

On my way back, the buddleia bush was still attracting lots of peacock butterflies. It's been good having sunny weather, but it's a bit too hot for me. I'm hoping the weather will break so we can have a good storm!
